It also includes a connection delay to the headphones and an active offset detector, just in case an internal fault or source fault applies too much DC voltage to the output, it immediately disconnected your headphones. The input supports decoding. The M500 uses a chip from ESS Technology. XU-216 is a true 32bit audio processing that supports DoP and Native DSD. The clock processing circuit is used to achieve ultra-low clock jitter. 3 high-end dual op-amps are used. The M500 provides high output drive capability and low noise density.
👤This is my first extermal DAC, so I can't really judge how it compares to others. For those who are wondering if it makes sense to get one, here are my thoughts on why I got one, why I picked this one, and what my impression is. I have a Macbook Pro that has a good DAC. Music sounded great when I plugged my two PreSonus studio monitors into the audio plug, but there was always a weak buzzing sound. The sound of the audio monitors plugged into the headphone plug of the monitor was horrendous, and the buzzing got really loud, when things changed. There is a I thought an external DAC might be the solution. The experience is more than just a change. The sound is cleaned up until it reaches the highest volumes. How much more detailed music is resolved is the most impressive. I am listening to a lot of classical music, and in some recordings, some noises that I previously attributed to bad digital reprocessing of the recording become audible as quiet background instrument sounds. Wow! I never expected that, coming from a decent CD player. I only recommend using external DACs. You will probably have the same experience as me. The M500 is a great choice if you want balanced outputs, volume control for your monitors, and MQA for Tidal Masters.
👤At this price range, I am yet to find a better MQA DAC than the SMSL m500. The Topping D90 MQA is about $800. I don't think you should spend your hard earned money on electronics that will get obsolete in a few years or so, because they will reduce in price. It makes no sense at $800. I had to return one because of many issues I faced, some of which were real, others of which were bugs with the latest update of the Tidal app. They can't communicate well in English. There is no contact email on their website. - They don't know how to use Amazon Messages to communicate with a customer, and they couldn't send me instructions to update the unit properly. But... Excellent sound quality! Mind blowing! Those are the measurements from ASR. There is a The difference and improvement over the Chord Mojo is massive. There is a This does not happen as often with the Chord Mojo. Is it a real issue? When connected to the Sonos Connect, Optical 1 was going "in" and "out" when it was distorted. It was very annoying. After I switched back to Optical 1 there were no issues. There was distortion with some tracks. If you keep your selections, the issues will go away. I returned it because I had two cases where Tidal Masters were distorted in between, and now it turns out that the same thing happens with the Chord Mojo. The problem was with the Tidal app. I had to return this for the other issues I was observing, like the input connections not working properly or cutting in and out, so I was also observing. I ordered the m500 after extensive talk with the support and they say the issues are fixed now. I might have to keep coming back until I get a good piece, but the sound is worth it. There is a The distortion from optical 1 happens with the Chord Mojo. The m500 was cutting in and out. The issue with the source is that it will not connect to a DAC again, so it will just take the analog output to the receiver. No issues for the same track, even when the issue is happening right then and there with optical. It is a high Jitter source and the port is lower, which could be why.
Up to 24 bit/ 192kHz audio can be heard on the Mac and PC. Enhances your music listening experience. Constant Current Drive technology provides a smooth response with headphones. The highest dynamic range and lowest distortion can be achieved with a quad sum DAC. Premium aluminum is built in the USA. The iPad Pro models have ausb-c connection.
👤I'm an amateur musician and an audio engineer who knows what's good for you. The Apogee Groove is a portable, high-quality, and class-conscious audio system designed for musicians, producers, and audiophiles. It's not cheap, coming in at or near $299, but it's a premium device that's designed and manufactured in the United States, built like a tank out of solid aluminum, and that sounds absolutely fantastic. There is a The Constant Current Drive (CCD) tech provides a smooth, consistent, Frequency response with any pair of headphones, and eight 32-Bit ESS Sabre DACs (4 DACs per channel) that provide high dynamic range, low distortion, and that support up. There are two buttons for adjusting the volume level on the top of the Groove. There are two ports on the ends, a microUSB power port and a 3.5mm audio interface port. The sound quality is very important and the AMP is absolutely silent. Plug it into your laptop and enjoy the silence. There's no sound. It's absolutely brilliant, there's nothing but total, utter silence. Sound quality is outstanding. This is dependent on what headphones you're using. There is a The 300 Ohm Sennheiser HD800/S requires twice as much power as the older HD600 or the beyerdynamic DT 1990, so it can't be done the same way as the 150 Ohm Sennheiser HD660S. The power output of the Groove is 71mw at 300 Ohm. That beats the Dragonfly Red by a wide margin. Don't get me wrong, my HD800/S headphones sound great with this combo. The sound stage was noticeably smaller when compared to the stack I have in my house. That is not a knock against the Groove. The little guy does an admirable job of powering my HD800/S, and it sounds better than any other portable audio/visual device in the same price range. There is a If you're looking for an ultra portable combo that sounds great and is built like a tank, then the Apogee Groove is for you. If your headphones are in the 100 to 150 Ohm range, you're golden. Is it 300 to 600 Ohm? It's doable, and it will sound better than anything else. When you consider the size, quality, and technology of the Groove, it's alone in an otherwise crowded field. Highly recommended.
👤This thing is amazing when it is used with headphones. I've tried at least a dozen other Amps with the HD 598's and none of them have maximized the potential of these headphones as the Groove does. It makes these headphones shine at a completely different level, as if they were made for these cans. The HD 598's bring the wow out for them, but this amplifier brings it to a whole new level. It is absolutely perfect for this thing to use constant current. There is a The HD 650's were great with this amplifier, but it left a little more to be desired when driving them. If you have the HD 598's, then you can get some cans that sound like $300-$500 cans. I knocked off half a star because of the high price. I wish they could sell them at a lower price point. Current drive headphones are rare. They are likely to put some R&D into this.
Support wire control. This is a function. You can play music, answer calls, and even reject calls with the C headphones. It is compatible with most C-type phones, including the Pixel 4 3 2 XL, the S10 Plus, the Note 10, the iPad pro, and the HUAWEIMATE 30. The Time Domain Jitter Eliminator and the patented 32-bit HyperStream DAC architecture of the ESS ES9018K2M chips bring out the best in your recordings. The SA9227 is ausb. The SA9227 is a streaming controller that supports all sample rates up to 32-bit and is powered by two onboard oscillators. The signal to noise ratio is 122. The Monolith is a small and portable device. You can have the ultimate in sound reproduction with a thumb drive that is roughly the size of a thumb drive. Push button controls flank the side of the USB DAC and allow volume to be adjusted easily. Monoprice's rugged design and rigid quality control standards deliver high quality products at fair prices.
👤This is my first experience with the program. I had been listening to 320kbps compressed audio on my Macbook Pro and my own collection on my phone for a long time, and was satisfied with the sound. I signed up for a trial for Amazon Music HD/Ultra HD when it started last month. I bought this to get the full effect of the audio on my computer and have been using it for a couple of days now. There are many mediocre or bad reviews here. I'm starting to believe that star ratings/reviews here are getting harder and harder to take seriously, especially since people give bad reviews for the most inane reasons, like shipping speed or how it arrived. My only caveat is that this is my first impression and that my review is only about the product. Monoprice seems to be all about making high quality imitations of popular electronics for a far lower price. I bought studio monitors and a mic for home recording and am happy with those purchases. I decided to check out Monoprice.com, which has a version of the AudioQuest's Dragonfly that is $100 cheaper. It is constructed with a hard plastic case and works well. The improvement in audio quality is irrefutable. It is comparable to hearing a compact disc vs an mp3 if you listen to high def audio. The studio tracking is very interesting. There is a The other is trying to get the right volume balance between the volume controls on the Mac and the DAC. I couldn't find anything online, so I haven't figured out how to set that up. I'm not sure if it's a big deal, but it sounds great in the box, so I should probably not have messed with it. The Mac's volume is limited to 3-4 settings. I'd appreciate it if anyone had a suggestion on how to get this right. The only other complaint is that you have to manually open the "Sound" system preference to re-position it back to the center. Neither of the complaints warrants a star rating deduction.
👤This combo has plenty of power to drive most headphones. It is on par with my Schiit Stack 3, except for the high current cans. It struggles with bass but drives everything else very well. The unit has more usable power than the Fraudioquest Dragonfly units. There is a This little guy is the main amplifier for my desk. Very happy with it.
👤I used it on my phone, using an OTG device. Plug and play in Windows 10. It was very loud at first. The hardware button can be used to lower it. The price sounds amazing. I am hearing things I have never heard before. My only complaint is that it uses your phone's power and drain it even when you're not playing anything. Plug it when not in use.
👤This is one of the best DACs to use on a mobile device. It has clean sounds and can make headphones loud. The only issue is that when you connect it to the phone via the volume buttons on the DAC, a notification pops up on the phone saying "usb accessory is drawing too much power and cannot be used" and then disconnected. I have to remove it, connect it, and lower the volume on the DAC, then play the music. I would've kept it if it wasn't for the small issue. I think most people would be fine with it as I crank up the sound on my headphones. At times, it went for as low as $69.

👤I've had two of these units. The first one stopped working after a while. The second unit was working well until about two weeks ago. The unit crashes while playing music or files. I disabled all other sound inputs in order to correct the issue, but it keeps happening. 3mii's support website has been non responsive, and it looks like they are not interested in resolving this issue.
👤If you want to be able to enjoy the best of your favorites anywhere, you have to buy this. This device is called mymagical music maker. It is definitely the game change for music lovers. Lavaudio did a lot of work to improve the sound quality compared with other brands, they squeezed a powerful system into this little box, amazing job, I have been using the fiio decoding for years, which is good, but I can notice they did a lot of work to improve the
👤The sound from the hifi components is important for the speakers. The DS600 was added to my Denon amplifier to connect to the internet. The DS600 is better than I expected. The sound is detailed and accurate. I can use my phone to listen to the songs on Tidal Music. The sound quality is equal to CDs. The standard for sound reproduction has been my Rotel CD player. The DS600 has changed everything. I can stream music without spending a lot of money on sound quality. This matters to me as a musician.
👤It doesn't have the full transparency of my $3000 DAC. For the price, it is very good. Very good separation and image quality. Running the outs into a dedicated amplifier did show significant gains in space and "slam." Headphone Amp is decent, but running the outs into a dedicated amplifier did show significant gains in space and "slam." LDAC was enabled on my phone. Don't judge it right away because it seems like it needs a few days to break in. Very sturdy. It's perfect for my computer use.
👤It was a perfect addition to my Yamaha receiver. The music quality is better than I could have imagined.
👤The DS600 is easy to setup and use. The improvement in sound quality is obvious. The sound quality is better on my 2-ch office setup because I use the Grace Digital internet tuner and the phone is on Amazon- HD. I will use the optical inputs in the near future. The impact of this device on the audio quality was very good. There is a The vendor's support is almost as important. The 1Mii team is very responsive to technical questions regarding the best setup. I was satisfied with the purchase. The included documentation and website is fair but could use some improvement.
👤It works. No other way to say it. The laptop just hires DSD files from the dac. Using jriver or foobar... It works. I tested optical from a CDplayer and it worked out fine. I'm blown away by the tracks run through this. Even higher quality music was always dismissed.
Depending on the music format, the LEDs will flash in different colors. It has a lot of keys which are easy to use. The sound quality is comparable to that of high-end CD players. You can now drive your headphones. The Mini Hifi Audio DAC AmpDS 100 is a portable digital-analog convertor. The DS 100 HiFiAnalog Amp is a clean and linear sound amplification design. They are standing by to help you, so buy Lavaudio Headphone Amplifier with confidence. The product has a lightningusb interface, a type c, and two OTG cables. The input can't be completed if the original data line of the iPhone is missing.
👤The portable heaphone Amp is awesome. The Moondrop Blessing 2's sound great, there is excellent detail and compared to the Audioquest Dragonfly Red I had been using previously, this brought both additional treble detail and bass texture to my Moondrop Blessing 2's. It's sleek and fits in my pocket, thanks to the use of a bit of velcro. The improvement with the Blessing 2's is delightful, but the sound signature of the Dragonfly Red still produces a more pleasing sound. The Lavaudio has been great on my speakers. I will get a proper desktop DAC eventually, but for now I am enjoying this for both portable and home use. The hissing that sometimes occurs when connecting the phone to the DAC has been corrected by simply un-plugging and re-plugging the connection. I bought another one to give to a friend because I enjoyed it so much.
👤When I was diagnosed with arthritis in my ankle, I was given 16 aspirins a day to bring down the swelling, but I have had hearing problems since I was 10. The arthritis killed many of the hair fibers that transmit sound from the ear to the brain, leaving me profoundly deafness. I think driving old cars without AC, listening to loud rock music, and flying jets didn't help. I wear a hearing aid, but they don't accurately reproduce music. The ability to carry 1000's of songs on a cellphone or mp3 player at full CD quality is anywayanydayd by the age of Hi-Res lossless music. The clarity is amazing because of the wired high-quality headphones, mini-USB DAC, and the fact that it's necessary to convert digital music on iPhone to analog that humans can hear. I could hear almost every note I heard as a teenager, with amazing separation between channels. I cried because the music was clear from my headphones. It was the first time I had heard it in almost 50 years. The small, affordable, well-built, volume control, and external power input of this DAC are only needed if you don't want to drain the phone's battery. If you're half-deaf or fully-hearing, this device is highly recommended to get the most out of Hi-Res Lossless music and hear stuff you never thought you'd hear again!
👤It was nice on the face of it. After very little use, dropping out was no longer an option. A bit base heavy. It is surprisingly poor compared to the bulkier audio quest. There is a I wonder if the little volume is a weak point. -- The volume control has stopped behaving oddly after using revised and added stars on an iPad and an iPhone.
👤I'm very happy with these. If you follow the instructions on the web for tweaking them to sound better, they will sound amazing. You will get even better sound. My library sounds great from my phone. I get richer sounds now that I have louder volume levels. Good stuff.
👤I bought this on 1mii and it was great for a week, but now there are statics. The experience with 1mii products was unpleasant.
Improves your headphones' sound. The sound is exceptional and the audio is very low power. It supports in-line volume control and microphone function headphones. The SABRE 9018Q2C is a portable Hi-fi sound system. Professional reviews around the web praise its price, size, soundstage and great sound across bass, mids and treble. Plug-and-play connection is not compatible with the iPad or iPhone. Ultra portable, no batteries or slim design lets you connect to your phone or tablet and take it anywhere. HI Res Audio can play audio files up to 32 bits and up to 11.39 GHz.
👤For a week or two, worked. One ear went out. Poor materials/construction are what it is. If I jiggle the jack and hold it in a certain way, I can hear something. Something is loose inside. Reviewers are reporting the same issue. I've not left the house because of COVID-19. The device hasn't seen the outside of my house before. If it can't make it past a week inside a house, how will this hold up? The sound on my MDR-V6/MDR-7506 wasn't completely improved. This product is not ready for prime time. I got a better improvement on my headphones by purchasing $30 new pads, instead of the nearly $200 Amp/DAC. My headphones work well in my MacBook. My phone came with a cheap earphone jack.
👤The sound quality of this little device is amazing. I love it when it works. The device stops working at random and I have two issues with it. This happens a lot when I lock andunlock my computer. I have to plug theusb back in to register it again. Sometimes it will happen for no rhyme or reason. The bigger issue is the poor quality of the headphones. I have multiple earphones that only register one side. You can get the other side if you fiddle with it. It is difficult to get the right and left channels to register.
👤I've used it to drive all my headphones, and it has no noise floor. The Final Audio E4000s, Meze 99 Noir, and Sennheiser 6XX are included. Sound signature is neutral, don't expect it to make your headphones sound better than they are. One of the reviewers had a dud or knockoff, the device is very solidly built with no wiggle from the jack with any cables, or sounds that come out of the headphones when trying to wiggle it. I have no concerns about the build quality of the device I have owned for a year. There is a It's a DAC that uses a power source that isn't plugged in. These are susceptible to noisy/poor power sources. The audio cutting out issue that the other reviewer is experiencing is likely the issue. My computer has the same issue, however it is completely solved by running the device off a dedicated power source. I have had similar issues with audio cutting out when using other sources of audio on my computer. There is a I highly recommend the device to anyone looking for a quality device. I got it for less than the current price at the time of writing this review.
👤I use the sound quality of the Spectra X to drive my headphones with my phone. I also use it with my Shure 846 iems. The monitors are amazing when used by themselves, but the Spectra X has given them an extra boost. Delivery was amazing. It doesn't have its own volume control. I am not concerned about this. I ordered it from the USA on Sunday and it was delivered to me in the UK on Wednesday. It is amazing! Thank you.
There are various of digital devices that can be compatible with mp3s, mp4s, phones, laptop computers and 3.5mm audio. CSR8675 is a receiver designed to deliver studio-quality sound through your ears. Balanced 2.5mm and single-ended 3.5mm out points are included in the BTR3K. Can be controlled via FiiO. There are 8 different DAC lowpass filters and a 10-band EQ in the music app. A new type-C connector has a full charge and 11 hours of pleasure. You can use the microphone, play/pause, volume, and track selection controls with the headphones.
👤It won't drive most over the ear headphones adequately if you bought this for music. There is a Koss KPH30 was ok, but could not deliver enough bass to the Sony MDR-V6. There is a I bought it because of Zoom communication. There is a It is flawed here as well. You can't use Headset Profile for mic and listen on Headphone Profile at the same time. When in full Headset Profile mode on Windows 10, sound is always off, and when you press the volume up or down button, it brings sound back for another 2 minutes. This is not a problem with the app on Windows 10. There is a It is working on the phone. It's a joke that simultaneous multi device connectivity is a joke. When connected to two devices at the same time, the sound stream is messed and the device behaves unpredictably. They never heard back from the bugs they reported. I was looking at BTR5 before buying BTR3K. I didn't buy it because it will come with the same bugs in a more expensive package.
👤It was awesome when I got the BTR3K. It works great with my IEMs and is easy to use. It has plenty of power to drive them and it sounds great. The microphone stopped working after 2.5 months of use. Sometimes I can't perform a factory reset because it stops in the middle of playing music and has to be powered off and back on. The 3.5mm jack has one of the channels shorted. I use it when working out, but I have not dunked it in water. I will update this review with any information about Fiio's support services.
👤The FiiO BTR3K has exceeded my expectations. I have high expectations. Not true audiophile. There is a It's so TINY. There is a The quality of the build is amazing. It feels like a small brick. I have a phone with the device that supports all of the HD codecs. I use the LDAC or the APTX HD to run the BTR3K. My 1more quad-driver, Comply foam ear tips, and best sound for the money, are hanging off of this device. The sound quality of the headphones is comparable to my portable device, which is a FiiO E18 Kunlun, in terms of clarity and soundstage. Even though the DAC on this can only receive 48KHz, 24bit data, you won't get 96K levels of fidelity. That is not a limitation of the BTR3K. The sound quality is amazing, but unless you want to drive really power-hungry cans, the volume levels are enough to cause hearing loss. The volume control on these is completely independent of the source, at least on my phone. This allows you to run the BTR3K at lower volumes and conserve battery life, which is already amazing on its own! There is a The included little holster is well-made and can be clipped to your shirt to use the built-in microphone. I'm pretty sure that the mic on my headphones is turned off by the BTR3K. This little toy is heavy for its size and will drag down on your shirt collar. I put mine off to the side so that it is not dangling from my collar. That seems to work well. It's a pro tip. You need to modify your connection in the settings on your phone to set the BTR3K Connection type to 'best audio quality', not the fancy developer-mode override. If your phone or other source supports it, you will get APTX HD. If your phone supports LDAC, you will need to use the developer options to force it. This is due to the fact that LDAC is prioritized over APTX HD. The color of the little FiiO light on the BTR3K can tell you which codec you are connecting to. Yellow, Light Purple, and LDAC are the letters of the alphabet. The app called Neutralizer is available on the Play Store and will allow you to set up each different combo to be as true to the music as your gear can handle. It uses a simple hearing test to allow you to dial in the perfect balanced sound, regardless of how your headphones were made. This is especially important when it comes to different codecs and DACs. The sound characteristics of your headphones can be changed a lot. I have different profiles for my 1more's connected directly, via my BTR3K, and via myUSB DAC/Amp. There are three different neutralizer profiles. I don't own a set of balanced headphones, so I can't speak to the fact that the BTR3K has direct support for 2.5mm balanced headphones. I have not been able to afford a good set yet. I think it can live up to that challenge. Make sure they are not power-hungry. There is a Hope this review helps. Happy listening! - Matt
5V Power is a very portable Home Desktop Professional Auido device that is easy to use. The KA3 headphones are equipped with the powerful and proven ESS ES9038Q2M, supporting 32bit/768kHz and DSD512. The KA3 mini amplifier has a 3.5mm single-ended output and a 4.4mm balanced output, both powerful to easily drive a variety of your headphones. You could use the KA3 portable headphones to connect with your phone, computer, or player. The current sampling rate is indicated by the RGB light indicator. The blue light is below the sampling rate and the yellow light is above it. This is a clean sound with abundant power, high signal-to-noise ratio, low distortion, and almost zero noise.
👤The sucker works. Sounds good. Everybody wants you to create an account or pay just to see if your light will turn green, but can't find any DSD files to listen to. The FiiO app is not good. Local files are only played by it. I'm listening to Apple Music on my phone. I thought it would drain the battery down more than it did. FiiO could hire someone that understands English to improve their information. When it should be fiio.com, go to fiio.net. My Bose freestyles and my FiiO H5's are what I'm listening to. No stuttering or noise has been reported so far. I can't get the volume up on the Bose freestyle without hurting my ears because of the little amplifier.
👤Highly recommended! I've been using a portable amplifier for a while. I own the FiiO Q3 and the iFi Hip DAC. The KA3 is the best portable computer for build, performance, and price. I've been using this with my Macbook and I haven't noticed the high battery drain or the skipping FiiO. I was surprised by the amount of power it could produce. It's the same size as the Dragonfly Black, but has a lot of power. I don't think I've pushed any of my full-sized cans past the halfway point. Most of my headphones are in the 100 to 150 ohm category, so they are not the hardest to drive. There is a The sound signature is cleaner than the others. I wouldn't recommend this for already loud headphones. Warm headphones and IEMs are wonderful. I like how my Z7M2s sound. The sound is called the FD3 Pro. It was detailed with a slight warmth. I think FiiO. / Jade Audio knocked it out of the park. Simple, powerful, sounds great! The new iFi GO is a hard competitor.
👤I fell down the rabbit hole to get the best listening experience when Apple Music introduced hi-res. You need wired earphones or a surround sound speaker system if you want to listen to wireless audio. I used the Apple-supplied lightning to connect my wired headphones to my phone. That is a device that converts data. It is limited to 48Khz audio. Both Apple Music Lossless and Hi-Res Lossless are 24bit/192kHz. You need a better DAC to hear the difference in Hi-Res audio. FiiO's new KA3 supports Apple's Hi-Res Lossless in a small footprint device at a very reasonable price. It supports higher 32-bit/768kHz and DSD-512 streams. The higher resolutions are on the phones and computers. I didn't like that FiiO didn't include the Lightning tousb-C cable. The cable that I use to charge my phone didn't work. I found an OTG cable on Amazon, and their tech support was very helpful. The light on the DAC is blue when the bitrate is less than 48kHz, yellow when above, and green when playing direct stream digital. I used my computer to listen to DSD. I can tell the difference between the two. The lights on my KA3 are used to verify the signal. I need someone to give me a blind listening test.
All music files can be played in mp3 format. 64 position volume control. The output drives the speakers or power amplifier. The chip has direct-coupled circuitry through the analog output section. The product has a 12 months replacement warranty. Quality power products and excellent customer service are what they focus on.
👤AudioScienceReview's detailed measurements of the XtremPro DAC/Headphone amplifier are incredible. It blows the DragonFly dongle out of the water with higher power output and superior linearity, compared to the much higher price. All of these are audible through headphones. The build quality is excellent and the engineering is good. The measurement results were confirmed by listening tests on multiple headphones. The details are amazing. The test results showed that the Dragonfly was lower in resolution than theXtreme, and the dynamic felt less vibrant. There is a This is a low cost, all-in-one DAC and headphone amplifier that is transparent and detail-rich, unlike a state-of-the-art amplifier that costs over $700. Highly recommended.
👤I decided to purchase this device because of the dramatic cost difference, instead of the AQ dragonfly. If you compare the chips inside this device to those inside the Texas Instruments amplifier and the SABRE DAC from the ESS, you will see that they are the same. It's a slightly different model of DAC that's less efficient with power, so the AQ is probably better if you intend on using it in a mobile device, but both seem to have similar technology. There is a The sound is very close. I'm happy with it. There is a My build quality might be an issue. The first one I received was faulty, but the second one worked well. I don't think it will be an issue for me since I'm not using it on the go.
👤I don't like listening to music on my laptop because I don't know how it sounds in headphones. I use Sony 7506s and Westone UM-1s, so nothing high end, but the quality was better on my phone or iPod, and something had to be done about the laptop since I sit in front of it for 8 hours a day. I didn't want to have to charge my Westone cable every day, even though it was better to use the onboard sound. I was looking at two different things. I got this one because of the good reviews. I could return it if I didn't like it. There is a Oh man. Night and day are different. I knew that anything would be better than the laptop sound. I was pretty happy with this little stick and don't see a need to spend more on another brand since it performed better than anything I've ever heard using the 7506s.
👤The product was great for the price. The sound is clear and crisp. I can't tell if it's a neutral sound signature or not. I think the mids could be improved. This is better than a direct AUX connection to my computer. I'm giving this 4 stars because when I have this plugged into anyusb port on my desktop that isn't directly linked to the motherboard, I get occasional interference that comes through as a very loud dialup tone. It seems to have no issues when connected to the front ports. Driver has been updated many times. I'm not sure why, but it's something to consider if you like having your headphones connected to your desk.
High-end making material and craft: using gold-plated sockets, original nichicon electrolyticCapacitor, original DALE resistors and precision ring resistance. Customer service was prompt and courteous. STUDIO GRADE PORTABLE DIGITAL ANALOG CONVERTOR WITH MQA: BOLT delivers studio sound on the go from any mobile device across all listening formats. It supports streaming for unparalleled fidelity in portable audio. It is compatible with all of the above. Extra or third party apps may be required for MQA support. The artist and engineers intended the recording to be heard for better-than-CD audio resolutions, so the highest fidelity sound was rendered. You can stream MQA content from a number of websites. It's a Certified MQA. There is a 3.5mm Headphone Output that can support the playback of PCM files with sampling rates up to 384 kHz or DSD files with sampling up to 5.6MHz. The 3.5mm audio jack is compatible with wired headphones and speaker systems. There is a note. If you don't have a 3.5mm input jack, you need an accessory. Amplified audio output and headphone output level matching will increase the audio output in devices with combined audio output. Headphone output level automatically sets the level for 150 ohms. The ThX CERTIFIEDAUDIO OUTPUT is exclusive and designed for low-bandwidth distortion. Unlike other mobile MQA-DAC designs, the HELM BOLT physically isolates the DAC from theusb port for improved EMI isolation and uses a three-sorrow design for superior frequency lock with dramatic improvements over single-sorrow designs.
👤This review is for people who own quality headphones or earbuds. The Helm Audio Bolt is useless if you don't. There is a The sound quality boost is worth it if you plan on using it with your laptop. I don't know if it's worth it. It's close enough. It definitely made a noticeable and pleasing difference using my Shure SE 535's on my Asus: deeper bass, better instrument separation, a bit clearer and a wider soundstage. This is a different beast than using it with a phone, as I will explain in a moment. The Helm Bolt doesn't work well with the app, the volume is too low, and there's nothing to do about it. I have a lot of issues with this and I will list them here, but I think it works great with Tidal if you install UAPP, which costs about $10. 1. I don't like Tidal. Though they technically have more songs, a large number are repeats and if you listen to any genera that tends to have a lot of remixes, Tidal's selection is far worse than the one on Spotify. There are other reasons I don't like Tidal. 2. You have to use the User interface to get the benefit on the Helm Bolt. UAPP is a messy and sometimes frustrating place to play music. 3. MQA is not better than the highest sound quality. Most of the time, I preferred the track on the same platform as I preferred the MQA tracks. It's not any better, it's just different and often means less bass and less "energy". 4. Don't pay for Tidal HiFi. I can't stress this enough. It isn't worth it. Only about one fourth of my library has MQA as an option, even if it was better. A lot of Tidal's tracks are not MQA. You'll be paying an extra $10/month for something that doesn't improve how a song actually sounds, and it's frustrating because it often isn't available for a lot of your songs. You can use it for free for 30 days if you don't believe me. 5. Volume can't be changed via the in-line controls. I can play/pause and skip songs, which is nice. There is a If you like Tidal and don't mind the interface on UAPP, the Helm Bolt is a great tool. If you're like me, the only reason you're looking for a product like this is because the manufacturers are doing away with the 3.5mm jack. If this is the issue you're trying to solve and you don't want to switch from Spotify, I have a few options for you. The Sony Xperia phones are awesome, they have a 3.5mm jack, and they care about quality sound, so if you want to buy one, you should. 2. Wait for the streaming service to offer support for the digital audiocassette. 3. You can buy a few cheapusb-c to 3.5mm Most of them get the job done, even though they are not great and only last two weeks to two months. 4. I'm not a big fan of the options. The IEM's that are used by companies like Westone can be mounted on a wireless device. There is a This review is applicable to any higher-end DAC, be it the Dragonfly/Red/Black, the Helm Audio Bolt or any other. The sad truth is that at the time of writing this review, listening to the service with wired earpieces on a high-end flagship phone is a nightmare. I'm going to keep the product because the sound quality on my laptop is enough to not send it back. It doesn't do the job I wanted it to. I want a Sony phone by October of 2021 and will upgrade to the Shure SE 846's if the streaming service doesn't support DAC's soon. Hope this helps someone.
Max. There is no load and the output power is 1.1V (3.2V peak-to-peak) at 3.5mm unbalanced output/ 2.2V (6.4V peak-to-peak) at 2.5mm balanced output. The Usb type-C DAC supports up to 32bit. It's convenient and safe to have a power supply via theusb port. Lineout single-ended/ balanced headphone output is one of the ports. The drive is high- performance.
👤I got the K3 because I was looking for a good unit. The FiiO E10k and the FiiO Q1 Mk2 came up quite a bit. I was looking for something to use at my desk at home, but the Q1 Mk2's ability to be taken with me to use my laptop or even my phone appealed to me, since it would be a huge bonus to be able to use it with my phone. The K3 is new and has few reviews, but I decided to give it a try because of the recommendations of FiiO's other products. I thought it was much smaller than I expected. The K3 is barely larger than a container of Tic Tacs. It feels very well-built. The body is metal with a nice matt finish, the switches have a satisfying click, and the volume knob spins smoothly to avoid being changed. I plugged the K3 into my PC using theusb 1 mode and windows immediately set it as my default output device. I found the drivers on the K3's FAQ, but it was hard to find at first. I won't fault FiiO for that, because the driver didn't install properly on my first try, but I tried again and it worked right away. The sound coming out of my headphones when connected to the K3 is better than the output on the headphone jack. The quality is better and the volume is higher. Previously, I could set my volume to whatever I wanted in windows and listen to music in that way. If I set my volume to 100% on both my pc and K3 at the same time, I would definitely hurt my ears. I tried it out just to see how loud it could get, and I was able to set my headphones down on my desk since the sound coming out of it was so loud that it would pass for a decent set of desk speakers. Take that with a grain of salt, if you have headphones with significantly higher impedance, because Audio Technica M50x's are not hard to drive at all. I'm inclined to believe FiiO when they say these are fine for anything over 150. There is a "Mobile devices are not recommended" is what FiiO's FAQ says. I couldn't resist trying it. I assumed that it's more than small enough to take with you, that it's supposed to be self-contained, and that they weren't explicitly saying it wouldn't work with a phone anyway. I plugged it into my phone and set the K3 to be in the mode of a computer. I was expecting it to take some effort to get it to function, but it just started working. I can understand why FiiO says the K3 is not recommended to be used with phones. The K3 does not have a battery, which means that when plugged into your phone, it is draining your phone's battery for power. If battery life is not a concern for you, then it does work with android. There is a I wanted to see if I could solve the problem of draining the phone's battery. I got out a hub that I had laying around and plugged it into my phone. I plugged the K3 into the hub's Type A port using the cable that came with it, and plugged my phone's charging port into the hub's Type C port. I was going for that. My phone was charging at the same time as my K3 output my music, so I assumed it was normal. This mess of cables is not an ideal solution, but it does work. It's probably not a good idea to just walk around when you're sitting in a vehicle for a long time. If a power outlet isn't available, you could swap the wall charger for a battery bank and get the same effect. There is a I'm very happy with the K3 so far.
