Thesycon official driver is compliant with the specifications of the device class. The Q3 can be used as a computer accessory. It can decode up to 32 bits. No driver is required for use with a Mac computer, while a Windows driver is required from FiiO's website. Tubes made of aluminum. The power of the state. The sound is crisp. The Liquid Platinum is an embedded tube/ hybrid amplifier that gives you the beautiful sound of tubes together with the grunt of solid state circuitry to drive the headphones. It uses two tubes, such as 6DJ8s. There are single ended and banded incontinence products. The Liquid Platinum has multiple inputs and outputs for balanced and single ended operation and easy front panel input selection. It keeps its cool. The Platinum has two long, screened slots on either side of the top and bottom to make sure it is well cooled. The amplifier should have enough space around the vents and not in a sealed enclosure. You're protected. Liquid Platinum has a slow power on. After a short delay, it warms up the heaters first and then protects the internal circuitry during startup by bringing up the rails and tube HV. It also includes a connection delay to the headphones and an active offset detector, just in case an internal fault or source fault applies too much DC voltage to the output, it immediately disconnected your headphones.
👤I have been doing reviews on my purchases for the past two hours. I will finish this one quick because I'm a little burnt out. I'm tired because this amplifier deserves a well thought out and lengthy review. This goes. It was short and sweet. This is the best amplifier on the market. The schiit magni 3 is the only competitor. There is a The power is: 1) schiit magni 3 2) liquid spark and 3) atom. The build has liquid spark and atom sound quality very close to each other. I'm talking fractions that are close. Not even that noticable of a difference, but the atom is slightly better than the other two. The amplifier is all power and build quality, but lacks a clean sound. The schiit magni 3 might be your best choice if you have headphones that need a nuclear reactor to power them. The liquid spark is miles ahead of the magni 3 in sound quality. There is a tight race for the best budget amplifier. The liquid spark has more power, better build quality, and less clean sound than any other amplifier, so I have to give it the best budget amplifier award. This is a very impressive amplifier that drives almost all headphones. I can't tell you enough about what you are getting. Absolutely fantastic. You can't really go wrong with any of the three. If you are looking to buy a $100 Amp, I think you will find that all three of the Amps are great choices, but you need to think about your needs, and if you are a snob about your equipment, all three of the Amps are great choices. It comes down to this. If you want the absolute cleanest sound and don't care about power or build, then you should get the jds Labs atom. If you don't mind a clean sound and want heavy power, then you should get the schiit magni 3. If you want to meet somewhere in the middle and have the best of both worlds, then get this liquid spark. Hope this helps you make a decision. Enjoy my fellow audio lovers.
👤I've had the album for a couple of weeks. My main goal is to add another data point for those that may still be undecided. I was on the fence. Monoprice's first venture into serious headamps is not trustworthy. I was expecting a lot of reports of shoddy build quality, but it kept me from pulling the trigger. A huge thanks to the people that took the time to talk with me and push me over the edge. I think that moving up from the Schiit Lyr 3 meant that my DAC was also going from balanced use to SE use. That means that any improvements I hear may be a mix of the Amp and Gumby. I can't reliably distinguish between the two. Gumby A2 is all you can listen to. --Packaging The packaging of the amplifier I ordered from Monoprice was terrible. The amplifier is bouncing around all over the place because of a huge box with two packing bubbles. I was impressed with the box itself. It feels right for $700 or $770 now. Everything is packed inside a nice bag for the amplifier. I know, who cares? It's all about the sound. The big question here is value. $700 is a lot for someone like myself and I want to feel like the money was well spent. Monoprice has done well here. It feels like a high end product. Quality-- When the prototype pics were released, I thought it was hideous. It's nice in person. The case is well-aligned and everything feels solid. The dark gray on the front plate blends into the black body nicely, making the whole thing look very sleek. I don't know why the left and right balanced inputs are switched. When I heard the channels switched, I was shocked. I always tell my students to read before they answer a question. I was not able to read the L & R printed above the sockets. That's on me. The construction is made of metal and has a good weight. It feels like a lot. This is not a cheap toy. Tubes-- There is a The first time you install the tubes it will be difficult because of the tight sockets. The right tube went in without much difficulty. The left tube felt like it was against a wall. I realized the pins were crooked after I straightened them out. Things loosen up a little each time you swap the tubes out, but after 3 or so swaps everything is fine. It's not an issue because Tubes still take a little work to remove. Tubes are very easy to get in at this point. The stock tubes are very usable, but this amplifier responds very well to tube rolling. The stock tubes are clean sounding, but a bit dry. The sound is now dialed in perfectly to my preference after rolling some Amperex tubes. Sound-- This is a step up from the previous one. This isn't a critique of the Lyr. There is a The improvement in dynamics from the Lyr is obvious. The stage has been improved. The sound is very immersive and the instruments have their own spot in the mix. I don't think the soundstage is bad. I think it's decent compared to other Schiit offerings. The album is better. There is a Everything sounds natural and easy, without being boring. The sound is clean but not clinical. There is a What is the sound like in one word? Calculating. Enough said. Misc.-- This appears to be the biggest issue people have with this amplifier, but it's not an issue for me. You're stuck with 5x gain because there is no gain switch. I don't have a problem getting the volume exactly where I want it because it's smooth and accurate on the dial. I had the same experience with the Vali 2 and Lyr 3. Of course, YMMV. I only use the HD 650, so the more sensitive headphones will not have as much play on the volume knob. If this is an issue for you, it is worth your time to look into the methods. The sound of the amplifier makes it worth the extra expense. It runs hot. So what? It's not an issue. Conclusion There is a It seems like a good deal to me. I wondered if this would be a clear step up from the $500 and under category. It is. This is a re-design of the Liquid Crimson, which cost around $1500. The Liquid Platinum is a good deal. There is a It doesn't feel like much of a risk with a 5-year warranty because reliability is a question that remains to be answered. Upgraditis Status: Cured is the final conclusion.

It's possible to connect to any port on any platform without the need for drivers or installation. There is no mess with messy headphones wires with the built-in magnetic clasp. You can get a Qobuz studio quality streaming subscription for three months when you purchase the THX Onyx.
👤Audio smoothens the music sound profile too much and it misses details. It is smooth and not very engaging. I prefer the sound of my board to be based on the Realtek ALC1220P or the Dragonfly Black. The Luxury & Precision W2 is more expensive than the Onyx. The upside is that it supports microphone, MQA, and cross- platform compatibility. I wanted a small portable amplifier that could be used with my amplifier. I find the headphones to be boring. It might be suitable for your sound preference. I had to return these because it was a no go for me.
👤I am not a musician, sound engineer or an audio engineer. My review is for people who use computers. On December 24th, it was received. Have only been using for a day. I want to fully experience the marvel since Apple Music has introduced Hi-Res Lossless music. I bought it for Apple Music. I use a MacBook Pro and a Sony IER-M9. There is a It's healthy. There are two tables at the end of the instruction manual that show the level of harmful substances. I am fine with this because I will never open up Onyx to touch the circuit board because of the high level of lead. The package, paint, metal case, rubber wire, and other externals are all under the safety limit. I'm happy to see this. I tried FiiO Q3. The accessories of Q3 had high levels of lead. I assumed the accessories were referring to the cables. I returned it. There is a The smallest DAC I have tried with is Onyx. I intend to use it with my phone. It's important to have a small size. Apple's lightning to 3.5mm adaptor is smaller than the one used by Onyx, but it can only do 24 bit sampling. I find a few smaller dongles from Amazon that can do the same thing, but they don't have ThX. Some reviews say that the dongles have crosstalk. Crosstalk: None. It is silent in the other channel when I test a channel with a low and high volume setting. The electronic noise is zero when there is no music. I tried the hip-dac2. I returned the crosstalk because it was so bad. There is a The sound quality is good. I can hear more details with the default speakers of my MacBook Pro than I can with the M9/THX Onyx speakers. I can hear the background noise in the studio with the build-in speakers, but not with M9/THX Onyx. The slide on the strings of a guitar is more pronounced with the build-in speakers than it is with the M9/THX Onyx. Maybe the THX Onyx filters out some details? I plugged M9 directly to the 3.5mm audio out on my MacBook Pro and got the same results. The speakers of my MacBook Pro are the same as M9. Maybe the 3.5mm audio out loses some details? The bass of M9 is stronger than the speakers. There is a I plug M9/THX Onyx into my phone. I have a lightning tousb camera accessory from Apple. The sampling rate of different songs affects the color of the LEDs. The two conditions are the same for M9/THX Onyx. There is a person with the name Onyx with the name THXAAA 78. It is the highest level in the series. The Frontier series is for high end devices. FiiO Q3 has the same level as the lowest in the series. There is a I am happy with the purchase.
There are 3.5+ 2.5mm dual outputs, cVc 8.0 noise cancellation, in-vehicle mode, and a FiiO Music app. You can use your existing wired headphones, earphones or even speakers to hear the studio-quality sound through your ears. The weight is 20g and it takes 14 hours of continuous play. There is a dedicated app with 10 band EQ and Ambient mode. 2 independent Hi-fi DACs and Amplifiers (Asahi Kasei AK4375a) are the optimal dual DACs/AMP design for both single-ended and full-differential outputs. The best way to control the volume is with the help of a built-in microphone, which can be used without a microphone. Max. There is no load and the output power is 1.1V (3.2V peak-to-peak) at 3.5mm unbalanced output/ 2.2V (6.4V peak-to-peak) at 2.5mm balanced output.
👤Constant daily use for 6 months. It drives everything from high sensitivity iems to full size headphones. Sound is good. Transients are fast. It was very detailed across all frequencies. It is hard to believe it is a device. It sounds great as a dac. You have a lot of control over the digital filters. This one is handy because it sounds so good, but I try to avoid using eq most of the time. Just clean. There is a This is a piece of audio that has been thought out and developed. I want to try it in balanced mode. Well done! There is an update. At 7 months it is shutting itself down and not connecting. The power on and off chime are now either high pitched or low pitched. Just broke. It was great until it stopped working. I have taken good care of it. I have been careful to lock the outputs. I tried to contact ransone, but he didn't reply. There is an update. If I forget the device and re-pair, it seems to work again. I have had to hard reset a few times. Even though there isn't any support, it sounds better and is more useful than anything else for the money.
👤I own almost every amplifier that can take phone calls, and it's all designed to be on-the-go. FiiO's new BTR1 is one of the Chinese brands. This one blows each one out of the water. The mic is good. The app has never been glitchy, and it can adjust the EQ and a lot of other things. I can use it with my PC. Right now, I have it plugged into my PC and connected to my phone at the same time. I don't have to take everything off and answer calls when I jam on my PC with a good DAC. I can't tell you how long I've been waiting for this solution to work. It finally does it with the help of ES 100. This is a keeper. I wish that it was easier to update. You have to manually force the download by connecting to a PC. It sounds like it's hard-wired, but through a wireless device. I bought a balanced cable to see if I notice any differences. There is a This is a good deal. The performance I've encountered so far should be $199. I look forward to buying any future versions they come out with because it fills a big void in this market. There are only a few reasons for this. This amplifier won't work if your headphones have a microphone on them. Audio-only cables must be used. Something to be desired is what packaging leaves. I thought it was possible that they put all their money towards the product development, and didn't leave any left for packaging. It could also mean that they were cheap. You can tell it was not the case if you listen to the device. This product is gem and works well. The update is for the year 2018. This works well as new. It's my most used device. I pair it with my AAW W500. Ambient awareness with a push of a button is helpful if you need to be aware of your surroundings. It's still the best in its class. I highly recommend getting the Earphone Wrap Cord Management. It's easy to use all day. I have never had a complaint about phone call quality or picking up too much background noise.
High-end making material and craft: using gold-plated sockets, original nichicon electrolyticCapacitor, original DALE resistors and precision ring resistance. Customer service was prompt and courteous. STUDIO GRADE PORTABLE DIGITAL ANALOG CONVERTOR WITH MQA: BOLT delivers studio sound on the go from any mobile device across all listening formats. It supports streaming for unparalleled fidelity in portable audio. It is compatible with all of the above. Extra or third party apps may be required for MQA support. The artist and engineers intended the recording to be heard for better-than-CD audio resolutions, so the highest fidelity sound was rendered. You can stream MQA content from a number of websites. It's a Certified MQA. There is a 3.5mm Headphone Output that can support the playback of PCM files with sampling rates up to 384 kHz or DSD files with sampling up to 5.6MHz. The 3.5mm audio jack is compatible with wired headphones and speaker systems. There is a note. If you don't have a 3.5mm input jack, you need an accessory. Amplified audio output and headphone output level matching will increase the audio output in devices with combined audio output. Headphone output level automatically sets the level for 150 ohms. The ThX CERTIFIEDAUDIO OUTPUT is exclusive and designed for low-bandwidth distortion. Unlike other mobile MQA-DAC designs, the HELM BOLT physically isolates the DAC from theusb port for improved EMI isolation and uses a three-sorrow design for superior frequency lock with dramatic improvements over single-sorrow designs.
👤This review is for people who own quality headphones or earbuds. The Helm Audio Bolt is useless if you don't. There is a The sound quality boost is worth it if you plan on using it with your laptop. I don't know if it's worth it. It's close enough. It definitely made a noticeable and pleasing difference using my Shure SE 535's on my Asus: deeper bass, better instrument separation, a bit clearer and a wider soundstage. This is a different beast than using it with a phone, as I will explain in a moment. The Helm Bolt doesn't work well with the app, the volume is too low, and there's nothing to do about it. I have a lot of issues with this and I will list them here, but I think it works great with Tidal if you install UAPP, which costs about $10. 1. I don't like Tidal. Though they technically have more songs, a large number are repeats and if you listen to any genera that tends to have a lot of remixes, Tidal's selection is far worse than the one on Spotify. There are other reasons I don't like Tidal. 2. You have to use the User interface to get the benefit on the Helm Bolt. UAPP is a messy and sometimes frustrating place to play music. 3. MQA is not better than the highest sound quality. Most of the time, I preferred the track on the same platform as I preferred the MQA tracks. It's not any better, it's just different and often means less bass and less "energy". 4. Don't pay for Tidal HiFi. I can't stress this enough. It isn't worth it. Only about one fourth of my library has MQA as an option, even if it was better. A lot of Tidal's tracks are not MQA. You'll be paying an extra $10/month for something that doesn't improve how a song actually sounds, and it's frustrating because it often isn't available for a lot of your songs. You can use it for free for 30 days if you don't believe me. 5. Volume can't be changed via the in-line controls. I can play/pause and skip songs, which is nice. There is a If you like Tidal and don't mind the interface on UAPP, the Helm Bolt is a great tool. If you're like me, the only reason you're looking for a product like this is because the manufacturers are doing away with the 3.5mm jack. If this is the issue you're trying to solve and you don't want to switch from Spotify, I have a few options for you. The Sony Xperia phones are awesome, they have a 3.5mm jack, and they care about quality sound, so if you want to buy one, you should. 2. Wait for the streaming service to offer support for the digital audiocassette. 3. You can buy a few cheapusb-c to 3.5mm Most of them get the job done, even though they are not great and only last two weeks to two months. 4. I'm not a big fan of the options. The IEM's that are used by companies like Westone can be mounted on a wireless device. There is a This review is applicable to any higher-end DAC, be it the Dragonfly/Red/Black, the Helm Audio Bolt or any other. The sad truth is that at the time of writing this review, listening to the service with wired earpieces on a high-end flagship phone is a nightmare. I'm going to keep the product because the sound quality on my laptop is enough to not send it back. It doesn't do the job I wanted it to. I want a Sony phone by October of 2021 and will upgrade to the Shure SE 846's if the streaming service doesn't support DAC's soon. Hope this helps someone.
There are EQ controls. The sound amplification device has buttons for bass, echo, mic, tone and source input mode. A remote control is included in the package. The ESS 9010 is a 32-bit DAC. The original DragonFly used a lot of power, but this one uses a lot of power, but has a lot of enhanced sound. It works with Apple and Android phones and tablets. Everything about your music is improved by this versatile DAC. It plays everything from mp3s to high-resolution files. The type of connection:usb 2.0
👤I could not detect any improvement on my Mackbook Air. You can get more volume, but it's not much. I tried to save the files. It's hard to believe that there is a night/day difference. Are people listening to something? Is it possible that they can hear differences that are beyond the reach of normal humans? I consider myself a good listener. I like to listen to the best masters of my favorite music. There are differences between bit rates. This has to be the biggest delusion yet created by the audiophile world, right up there with $1,000 cables that will turn any music into sparkling diamonds. At a higher price point, there is a difference between the two. This item does nothing. I didn't bother to try it on my phone as I didn't want to shell out for a lightning accessory before I knew what I was getting into. I tried it with anANDROID and couldn't get any audio to come out. There are issues with certain phones. Good luck!
👤I'll try to help those who can't decide between the Black and Red since there are lots of reviews about sound quality. I own both Black and Red and listen to them about 10 hours a week. I can't tell the difference despite listening to each one of the best headphones. I would only buy another black model if I knew what I was buying. I don't see why I have to pay extra for it.
👤The bonus for me was the ability to decode MQA, the headphone pre-amp, and the compatibility with smart phones. I have a few high end headphones and never thought that the DAC would make a difference, I mainly listen to most of my music from Tidal. I was wrong. I sat down in my computer room, turned off the lights, poured myself some wine and pressed play after I updated it so I could listen to the tracks of the MQA. I was floating in space. It was suspended in time. I started to cry, I felt everything at once. I knew it was there. I had been kissed by angels and my ears would never be the same. Now bound by machines and spirits. I woke up a changed man.
👤Audioquest has a new version of ausb DAC/amp that is similar to the dragonfly red and black. I love my Audioquest Dragonfly red. It's plugged into my laptop and drives my Final Audio Sonorous IV headphones at work. I was hoping for more of the DFR's airiness but it wasn't there. The cobalt is tighter than before, which makes it easier to hear the separation of instruments. The DFR red does a better approximation of the U curve in my settings, and I prefer a more distinct one. The DFR is more fun than the cobalt. You should try it for yourself. I have found that I need to listen to a product myself, since I have not found alignment with what reviewers say is better. You should go with what you think sounds better. You would have to make sure you compare both. The DFR sounds like the cobalt to me.
Max. There is no load and the output power is 1.1V (3.2V peak-to-peak) at 3.5mm unbalanced output/ 2.2V (6.4V peak-to-peak) at 2.5mm balanced output. The Usb type-C DAC supports up to 32bit. It's convenient and safe to have a power supply via theusb port. Lineout single-ended/ balanced headphone output is one of the ports. The drive is high- performance.
👤I got the K3 because I was looking for a good unit. The FiiO E10k and the FiiO Q1 Mk2 came up quite a bit. I was looking for something to use at my desk at home, but the Q1 Mk2's ability to be taken with me to use my laptop or even my phone appealed to me, since it would be a huge bonus to be able to use it with my phone. The K3 is new and has few reviews, but I decided to give it a try because of the recommendations of FiiO's other products. I thought it was much smaller than I expected. The K3 is barely larger than a container of Tic Tacs. It feels very well-built. The body is metal with a nice matt finish, the switches have a satisfying click, and the volume knob spins smoothly to avoid being changed. I plugged the K3 into my PC using theusb 1 mode and windows immediately set it as my default output device. I found the drivers on the K3's FAQ, but it was hard to find at first. I won't fault FiiO for that, because the driver didn't install properly on my first try, but I tried again and it worked right away. The sound coming out of my headphones when connected to the K3 is better than the output on the headphone jack. The quality is better and the volume is higher. Previously, I could set my volume to whatever I wanted in windows and listen to music in that way. If I set my volume to 100% on both my pc and K3 at the same time, I would definitely hurt my ears. I tried it out just to see how loud it could get, and I was able to set my headphones down on my desk since the sound coming out of it was so loud that it would pass for a decent set of desk speakers. Take that with a grain of salt, if you have headphones with significantly higher impedance, because Audio Technica M50x's are not hard to drive at all. I'm inclined to believe FiiO when they say these are fine for anything over 150. There is a "Mobile devices are not recommended" is what FiiO's FAQ says. I couldn't resist trying it. I assumed that it's more than small enough to take with you, that it's supposed to be self-contained, and that they weren't explicitly saying it wouldn't work with a phone anyway. I plugged it into my phone and set the K3 to be in the mode of a computer. I was expecting it to take some effort to get it to function, but it just started working. I can understand why FiiO says the K3 is not recommended to be used with phones. The K3 does not have a battery, which means that when plugged into your phone, it is draining your phone's battery for power. If battery life is not a concern for you, then it does work with android. There is a I wanted to see if I could solve the problem of draining the phone's battery. I got out a hub that I had laying around and plugged it into my phone. I plugged the K3 into the hub's Type A port using the cable that came with it, and plugged my phone's charging port into the hub's Type C port. I was going for that. My phone was charging at the same time as my K3 output my music, so I assumed it was normal. This mess of cables is not an ideal solution, but it does work. It's probably not a good idea to just walk around when you're sitting in a vehicle for a long time. If a power outlet isn't available, you could swap the wall charger for a battery bank and get the same effect. There is a I'm very happy with the K3 so far.
The built in iE Match means it can drive high sensitivity headphones, and the built in iPurifier technology reduces the signal to theusb to make it sound better. The Direct Drive Amp will drive high impedance headphones up to 600 ohms and the headphone channel separation is unchanged. Powerful game audio and video capabilities. The portable XD-05 Basic has high-quality audio and video performance. It can be used with a variety of smart devices, providing high-quality audio experience for PC, PS4 and XBOX. You can take the lead in every game by using professional digital and analog audio circuits to create almost real surround sound effects on headphones and active speakers. A personal sound enhancement system. Matching of different headsets is possible. The earphone's output is flexible to match the correct output power. The volume of your headphones can be adjusted to play games or listen to music. Less computer output distortion at high volume. The sound effects of the bomb are reproduced in a loud field. Bass switches through hardware physics to speed up, bring the game and movie action movies in the hot scenes, feel the shock sound effects, whether 3A or Hollywood blockbuster more magnificent, immersive. Improving the quality of music. The low bit rate audio file will be raised to 48KHz/96KHz/192KHz through the hardware SRC function, so as to make the sound more natural and smooth.
👤The device was close to perfect. It can run on battery or power. Can be used outside. It has an awful sound signature. The bass and mids were hollow. High are absent. I wish that signature could be fixed. I regret not returning the device during the 30 day return window. I'm stuck with something that looks great but sounds terrible.
👤I use this to power my new headphones on my computer. It does the job well and has a lot of functions through multiple inputs. I can switch to the peak volumes with the multiple gain. I like being able to carry it around. I might look into getting a bluetooth adapter in the future. This product is great for both desktop and mobile devices.
👤I'm using this with the LDAC. There is a This is a great amplifier. It's a nice option to have a display that shows you incoming digital bitrate and source selection, even if you don't use a desk amplifier. The output sounds great on low gain with plenty of power left to destroy your hearing. The set is a bit bassy. I don't need the bass boost on them for most listening, but the option is there for when I just want a liquid D&B. It isn't a mild boost which made you excited or made you swear off. Don't turn it on if later. The bass heads are happy. There is a The bass boost on my Hifiman HD4XX's makes me enjoy them again after having gotten the mahogany's, because they have good fast bass slam but could use more dB in the low end. There is a The volume knob has a heavy imbalance until I have it up to about 7. If your source is loud, you may need to turn the amplifier up and the source down a few times. If your unit has a better pot than mine, try it. There is a There is a long cable for desktop use, and two short cables with right angle heads, one for Micro-USB and the other for USB-C, if you plan to plug right into your phone. If you're using it as a desk amplifier, it has a bunch of stick on rubber feet to keep it in place. If you want the cables for your hip-dac, iFi will charge you tens of dollars for each one. There is a I can't recommend this enough, I also need to grab a cheap combo for the desk you can bring around elsewhere, and I also need to grab a Bluetooth accessory.
👤When I am away from my desk, I need a portable dac/amp combo. My main go-to is my HiFiMan 4XX and Sennheiser 6XX. Is this as good as my $500 combo I use at my desk? No. It was never meant to be, but at this price, I can use my favorite headphones anywhere. I have a module that is attached to the back. It's a must have. I use my phone and computer. It's so much more convenient. There is a The only complaint I have about the unit is how it sits on the desk. The desk has a metal body that is tugged by the wire. The cheap rubber feat I ordered should fix the issue.
It also includes a connection delay to the headphones and an active offset detector, just in case an internal fault or source fault applies too much DC voltage to the output, it immediately disconnected your headphones. The input supports decoding. The M500 uses a chip from ESS Technology. XU-216 is a true 32bit audio processing that supports DoP and Native DSD. The clock processing circuit is used to achieve ultra-low clock jitter. 3 high-end dual op-amps are used. The M500 provides high output drive capability and low noise density.
👤This is my first extermal DAC, so I can't really judge how it compares to others. For those who are wondering if it makes sense to get one, here are my thoughts on why I got one, why I picked this one, and what my impression is. I have a Macbook Pro that has a good DAC. Music sounded great when I plugged my two PreSonus studio monitors into the audio plug, but there was always a weak buzzing sound. The sound of the audio monitors plugged into the headphone plug of the monitor was horrendous, and the buzzing got really loud, when things changed. There is a I thought an external DAC might be the solution. The experience is more than just a change. The sound is cleaned up until it reaches the highest volumes. How much more detailed music is resolved is the most impressive. I am listening to a lot of classical music, and in some recordings, some noises that I previously attributed to bad digital reprocessing of the recording become audible as quiet background instrument sounds. Wow! I never expected that, coming from a decent CD player. I only recommend using external DACs. You will probably have the same experience as me. The M500 is a great choice if you want balanced outputs, volume control for your monitors, and MQA for Tidal Masters.
👤At this price range, I am yet to find a better MQA DAC than the SMSL m500. The Topping D90 MQA is about $800. I don't think you should spend your hard earned money on electronics that will get obsolete in a few years or so, because they will reduce in price. It makes no sense at $800. I had to return one because of many issues I faced, some of which were real, others of which were bugs with the latest update of the Tidal app. They can't communicate well in English. There is no contact email on their website. - They don't know how to use Amazon Messages to communicate with a customer, and they couldn't send me instructions to update the unit properly. But... Excellent sound quality! Mind blowing! Those are the measurements from ASR. There is a The difference and improvement over the Chord Mojo is massive. There is a This does not happen as often with the Chord Mojo. Is it a real issue? When connected to the Sonos Connect, Optical 1 was going "in" and "out" when it was distorted. It was very annoying. After I switched back to Optical 1 there were no issues. There was distortion with some tracks. If you keep your selections, the issues will go away. I returned it because I had two cases where Tidal Masters were distorted in between, and now it turns out that the same thing happens with the Chord Mojo. The problem was with the Tidal app. I had to return this for the other issues I was observing, like the input connections not working properly or cutting in and out, so I was also observing. I ordered the m500 after extensive talk with the support and they say the issues are fixed now. I might have to keep coming back until I get a good piece, but the sound is worth it. There is a The distortion from optical 1 happens with the Chord Mojo. The m500 was cutting in and out. The issue with the source is that it will not connect to a DAC again, so it will just take the analog output to the receiver. No issues for the same track, even when the issue is happening right then and there with optical. It is a high Jitter source and the port is lower, which could be why.
The portable design will keep your music going for up to 8 hours of battery life, and a slim, lightweight design is perfect for carrying in your pocket. You can listen to any song in any format you want, with native digital to analog conversion, if you choose. You can listen to in ear monitors or drive over the ear headphones with 400 mW max power output from the on-board amplifier. It works with balanced 4.4mm or S-Bal 3.5mm headphones for ultimate convenience and flexibility. The hip-dac2 has been upgraded to give you a more pleasurable portable audio experience, it now is a full MQA decoder and has an upgraded clock.
👤It's referred to as the TLDR. It is worth the money to listen to Apple Music with HiRes Lossless audio. Let's start with bad parts. The genius who came up with the maleusb input should have tried all the devices and costs. I could have used my existing fast charging cable instead of using the new version's audio input. I have a lot of cables and connections but they are useless for connecting to the phone. I bought a non-apple lightning to theusb connection but it was too big to fit. I used two of the twousb connectors in image 3. The looks ugly but gets done. 2. It was easy to connect to my MacBook. Apple Music was bad when I chose the hi-res Lossless option. It was not a Dac issue, but a MacBook issue. I had opened up a ticket but no one responded. Two stars are gone when you spend close to $200 bucks. There is a The Apple Music HiRes Lossless on iPhone with this Dac and HiFiMan will blow your mind. If you pick a true HiRes Lossless track, it will enhance your music experience. It still sounds better if you listen to lossy audio. There is a The power match will open your headphones. I use this to watch or listen to music. It was worth every penny. The Hip Dac is a good combo if you have invested in decent open back headphones. My setup is a desktop setup and not a true mobile so I didn't mind the dongles as they produce the result I expected.
👤I have a well known high end $1,700 DAC/Player that stopped playing, so I needed to send it in for repairs. I wanted to keep playing my music so I connected my old HipDac1 to the phone. It was ok, but not as good as my player. There was an improved HipDac 2. I thought I would give it a try while I waited for my player to be fixed. I don't think I'll go back to my expensive player because the sound is so clear and powerful. The HipDac 2 sound is more robust and lively than I've heard before, and it's even better with more Bass and less detail in some music. This is the real deal, amazing high end sound at a true bargain.
👤The only cure is more cable. There is a The cables are not easy to use. You have to carry a dongle with you if you want to use a female port. Maybe that won't bother you. It made me angry. The FiiO Q3 has a better implementation where you can turn off the charging if you don't want it. There is a Sound quality is good. The XBass button works well.
👤Adquir el DAC/AMP, mucho revisar y comparar, por todas las prestaciones, versatilidad y calidad. There is a Sin embargo no produce estridencias ni superposiciones contundentes, auncuando en algunos. There is a Las voces e instrumentos. El rango medio suenan increblemente para el aparato, sin perder la naturalidad y de cierta manera la precisin. There is a En la parte de los altos debo confesar tienen una extensin bastante. There is a Los nicos quizas seran. 1. No venga includa en el paquete; 2. Esto es porque para eso. The iFi goes. No tanto a ultraportabilidad, HipDac V2 est mas orientado a entornos "desktop travel". No viniesen por ejemplo, para ser mas estéticos, no trenzados de los IEMs.
You can use theusb digital audio convert to the coaxial digital audio output. The bass boosting circuit is switchable. The maximum audio format is 32bit. The model now has a Type-C port. The model now has a Type-C port.
👤At max volume, it's barely passable for listening, but you would think this would be able to power my 250 ohm Beyerdynamic DT770s. There is a If you have lower power headphones, the device is fine.
👤I am using this with a Sennheiser HD58x, which can get decent volume without an amplifier, and I have a few thoughts. I don't know how to describe it. The effect feels more alive and expansive but not quite as much as it might be. 2. The bass boost is okay. I will listen to music with it, but I will turn it off and set my own sound system to make the bass sound better. 3. The blue light on the device is too bright in a dark room. 4. Since this is an amplifier, it would be nice if it could be used with a PC. 5. I wish the device was bigger with rubber feet or smaller with a battery. 6. When you don't have any audio playing, the noise floor disappears, it's amazing, but you have to wonder if it's on or not. I think this is a pretty good deal, and while the sound improvement was not great, the fact that I can tell a difference at all is good enough for me.
👤I'm a medical transcriptionist and I need an inline amplifier because my new work platform lacks a separate volume control. I was told by research that adding a DAC chip would be a worthwhile upgrade over my office computer's onboard audio, and this looked like an update of a well-reviewed product. There is a Wow! Some of the background noise is gone and the voices are more distinct. My productivity has increased by up to 50%, with the most sardonic dictators showing the biggest improvement, because of the increased speed on the tapes. I had to take a star from the small volume control knob because of my fat fingers, but this little amplifier has paid for itself in a couple of days. There is a Music sounds better as well.
👤I wanted a little amplifier to use on my headphones as I listen to music a lot and the volume was just way to quiet using the onboard sound. The volume had to be lowered from 100 to 50-60. If I wanted to, I could blow out my ears. The bass boost button distorts bass so I don't use it and don't really recommend others use it, but this is quite the bang for your buck as a mini amplifier that works off the power of the internet.
👤The device makes my Pros sing. Hearing details I would have missed is great for gaming. Highly recommended, PC drivers work well.
👤I bought this amplifier to power my TYGR 300 R and it was absolutely worth it. The EK10 was able to power the 32 ohm 300 R, but it was not enough to make it sound good. I could turn up the volume on the EK10 if I wanted to. The sound has been great. I highly recommend this little amplifier. The sound is clear. These headphones are amazing. It took me a little longer to get used to them, but they are great.

👤It works great, easy setup, drives my headphones with ease, using a knob about half way up. Amazon Music knows the format setting. I would like to have the ability to dim or turn it off. I had to change my default format to 16-bit 44.1khz in Windows. You don't need to set it to 768khz anyways, because Windows only allows it to be set to 32-bit. Don't think there's a need for a workaround. A Windows limitation is not a problem with the DAC.
👤I upgraded to the K9 Pro and returned the unit. Why am I still giving it a rave review if I returned it? For the money, this is a great amplifier. There is plenty of power to your headphones. The layout of the unit is very straight forward and simple, with a large potentiometer that controls the power and volume. The source and flip switches are used for gain. The input for the headphones. A lightweight amplifier that performs well is very easy to use. I used this amplifier to drive my Audeze headphones and it provided a lot of amplification. I used the amplifier in low gain and it still got loud. There is a There are a few reasons I decided to upgrade to the K9 Pro. Being able to stream music from my phone was something I really wanted. I wanted to be able to use balanced cables. I was looking for a solution that would help reduce the noise while I was using the optical SPDIF input. My television is notorious for having all of those things, so I tried many, many solutions in order to mitigate that, including digital reclockers, different cables, HDMI extractors, etc, and what I landed on was the Fiio K9 Pro. This isn't a knock on the K5. This is a $200 amplifier. This review is a reason for me to explain that the K5 Pro would still be in my system even if I didn't want any of those things. Pro is a great value. This Fiio unit is a great value and it has a high quality sound.
👤Plug and Play on Linux is what this unit works well for. The sampling rate on Windows 10 has to be adjusted manually. There is a The volume control is digital so there is no imbalance. There is a The sound quality of the K5 Pro is great. Gain switch allows you to play highly sensitive IEMs and power high impedance headphones. It drives my stereo speakers. There is a The K5. Pro is not as heavy as you would think. There is no worry about it there. There is a I wish I'd bought this earlier.
👤I decided to try this to drive my HiFiMan He4XX. Does a great job. When I don't feel like using my headphones, I have these going to my sound bar. The quality and sound is good. The quality of the knob and switches is satisfying. Drivers plug and play on windows 11 pro. I did not install fiio software. There is a I wish it was a little heavier when I plug my headphones in.
