👤Nice amplifier. I swapped out the op-amp with a better one and the cheap chinese fu32 tube for a nos RCA 832A. I love playing David Gilmour Live at Pompeii. A good purchase.

👤I bought the vacuum tube amplifier to see if I could hear the difference between the transistor and the vacuum tube amplifier. I was skeptical at first. I am not a musician or an audio engineer. I could hear the difference. I was looking for an explanation for the clear difference I was hearing. The vacuum tubes have a bigger dynamic range than transistors do. This allows for a deeper listen to the music. The music is amplified and delivered to your headphones. The same music does sound a bit flatter if I connect the headphones to the iPad directly. There is a The vacuum tubes make the sound better by introducing distortion to the original sound. This is described as awarmer tube sound. I found a technical explanation for the class. The 2nd order is introduced to the original signal by an amplifier. I think it makes violins, guitars, cellos sound better. Classical and jazz music seem to benefit from vacuum tube amplifier. I also bought headphones for this amplifier. The low impedance of the amplifier makes it work well. There is a I will never go back to the solid state amplifier. This little bear is very good.

👤My reaction was very positive when I first heard it, without the tube being broken in yet. I think this thing is great for $79. It was tested by hooking it up to the headphones on my phone. Then run to a line level input on my receiver and speakers. My wife was sitting on the couch when I hooked it up, and she noticed a big difference in the way it worked. She asked me how much I spent. She was expecting me to say a few hundred dollars. She was shocked when I said that I was from Amazon. It's a good thing. I was very happy with the purchase. It seems to have the biggest effect on female vocals, but my wife noticed a difference in clarity with bottom end bass. I like to listen to some of my favorite songs. Can't wait for the tube to break. My daughter also noticed a change. We might have become tube enthusiasts.

👤This is the first time I've used a Nobsound Little Bear FU32 (832) vacuum tube headphone amplifier. The order came fast, in good condition, after I connected my mini tube to the amplifier, the music sounded so clear, warm, and powerful. It's cute and looks great to add to my music listening hobby. I would recommend this to anyone who plays music at home.

👤I bought this little amplifier because I have a radio that uses these tubes, and it is much better than I expected. There is a I can watch my videos without sharing them with the rest of the house. It's gorgeous with the lights off. I love it!

👤It was easy to setup. Sound is clear and crisp. It is clear that Bass/treble is great when you turn up the volume. It's cool. I used Riverstone GE5654 Tube to set up the device. When I bought my first set of Riverstone tubes, I became a huge fan. You will not be disappointed in the sound quality of these when you order a mini amplifier that uses this type of tube. Get some banana clips for your speaker wire. Keep it clean and organized. It's easy to move your speakers around. Life is easier because of them. I used the cable connection to start it up. I have an amplifier connected to my Wharfedale. I am using my computer to play music. I can get a lot of volume from this small amplifier. I think my speakers are decent for their price. I love the sound they make and they are powered by this amplifier. The bass and treble work well. As I jump from song to song, there are no issues with making adjustments. The bass is warm and the treble is crisp. I have been sitting here for a long time. It was easy to connect to the internet. If you want to connect to FOSI AUDIO, you have to flip the switch on the back. When I switched to a wireless device, the sound was noticeably lower. Even though my MacBook showed the out volume was full, I adjusted the settings and heard a pop and the sound stopped. My MacBook was recognizing the output volume after I moved the sliders lower. Everything got louder. Check the output volume on your audio source if you experience this issue. You can hear an improvement in the audio quality when you switch back to the RCA cables. You won't be going back and forth testing out the sound when you listen to music or something like that. It's easy to connect any type of device you have lying around, with the help of the internet. I plugged in my Sony MDR-V700's through the front of my headphones after a good sampling of the amplifier through my speakers. The sound and clarity of the headphones is amazing. You get a clean sound through them. When I feel a track needs some adjustment, I like to have separate bass/treble. I think you will be very happy if you are a person who listens to headphones. There is a I am very happy with this purchase. I like how small it is, the power it has, and it never got hot. It stays very cool. This allows me to have all kinds of small electrical equipment on my computer desk to play with when I want to change up the sound. I am having fun with my mini-amps. I have a tube amplifier that I run the sound into first. The sound is amazing. I'm going to be getting more of these little pre-amps and messing with them. I love it!

👤I have been looking for a better sound from my echo dots. I am 65 years old and grew up with sound equipment, but downsizing for an apartment I believed too much in the hype and claims of Amazon. The desire to get rid of my large speakers, boxes of CDs and vinyl, and large wattage amplifier was too much to resist. I had a huge collection of music at my command. But at what cost? The sound was not good for me. Amazon called me twice to take back my reviews. I did not. If you get the right match, I have both built and bought tube amplifier that I love. The sound was instantly improved when I ran the 65 watt Fossie Tube amplifier through the basic Insignia Bookshelf Stereo Speakers. For the first time, I felt like I had matched the size of an echo-dot with the sound. I haven't tried this setup through my Advent towers or Bose as it might be a bit low for big high wattage speakers. You can plug this into an amplifier like my Crown, and run it as a pre-amp, but I am trying to cut wattage not relive my college days. There is a There are pros. The small speakers in my living room can overwhelm my living room which is 20 foot by 30 foot. Keep the volume close to the max and use voice commands to reduce it. The bass and treble controls have a positive effect and I don't need to run them at max settings. I can't hear any crackles or background hiss when Turing the Amp is on. It is aesthetically beautiful, and small equipment for small apartments. There is a When not in use, it is best to shut it off. When you shut it off with the switch, the echo-dot does not respond to voice commands, but the sound is in MONO and running through their small speaker, which is good for the size, but come on! 50 million songs can only be played through a 2 inch speaker. It can be difficult to find the right speaker connections and the outputs on the back of the amplifier. I used bare wire to make my speakers. I don't recommend the knockoffs that get terrible comments.

4. Dayton Audio Amplifier Bluetooth Headphone

Dayton Audio Amplifier Bluetooth Headphone

Tube warmth, class D efficiency. There are two types of inputs:Bluetooth 4.2 and Aux. Adding an active subwoofer output. A high quality amplifier. Very low THD 0.1%.

Brand: Dayton Audio

👤The fit and finish is great for the price, and the knobs feel great. I gave this a look because it has a sub out and I wanted to use it for something. I put it with two Dayton Audio B452 airs and a Sony Subwoofer and it sounds great, even with the stock Chinese tubes. There is a It has two aux in's, ausb port for sticks, and a bluetooth connection for use with a computer and record player. They work great after trying them all out. It has a jack on the back that can be used for quieter listening at night or when loud music isn't the best thing. A great little hybrid tube amplifier. It lacks tone controls, but you could pair one of the tube preamps with tone controls through one of the AUX inputs. I would recommend this to others as well. Dayton Audio should do more branded tube gear in the future.

👤I use this little amplifier for my speakers. I am using an offboard amplifier from my computer. 1. It sounds great. There were some old DCM bookshelves on it. I have my Monitor bookshelf running from it. Both sound good. Maybe not as good as a 5k amplifier. This did not cost $5k. 2. I like the look of it on my desk. The blue glow from the amplifier is appealing. 3. It has two inputs. I looked for high and low and found only one RCA and other connections for desktops. I use Aux1 and Aux2 to run my computer and turn table. I can use every thing I need for inputs. 4. There is a sub out. Most bookshelf speakers don't go very low, so this is a life saver. On the positive side... The left channel went out and I had to return my first unit. It stopped working when it got scratchy. I was out an amplifier for only one day after it was replaced by Amazon. There is a The left side of the new amplifier is very rough. There is a There is a quick tip to solve the problem. Lower the volume on your computer. You can raise the volume on this amplifier. The POT will be removed by the extra volume. The first unit had a bad POT and the second unit had a bad POT.

👤I bought this thing on the spot. I was looking for a small amplifier to drive speakers in my bedroom. I wanted a small device that had a few inputs and a connection that could drive speakers to a decent volume and sound good for bedroom listening. My main living room rig is a mcintosh c28 preamplifier, a proac studio 100 speakers, a vpi turntable, and a mac mini server. The acurus system in my office includes a cdchanger, acurus preamplifier, acurus 250amp and rogers ls3 speakers. I enjoy good audio. I own a lot of high end audio equipment at home and at my recording studios. I was blown away when I connected the dayton audio amplifier to the speakers. This thing sounds great. The top end is clean, powerful, and has plenty of power to drive all of my speakers to great volume. I have hooked it up to my old favorite pair of tannoy pbm5 studio monitors, a pair of hafler monitors, my rogers ls3/6a, and currently a set of my yamaha ns10 studio monitors which are known for being harsh. The ns10's sound great. Truly. I'm thinking of buying another one of these to drive my other pair of ns10's in my studio. It is warm and clean. The high end of the ns10's tweeters have tubes round them. I have a small powered Yamaha sub that I use to round off the low end of the octave. The little rig in my bedroom sounds amazing. This dayton amplifier sounds amazing when I listen to music on my phone, or stream audio from a website. This is a no-brainer for less than 150 bucks. I'm going to get a few more of them, one for my studio ns10's that I use for an extra mixing reference, and maybe one to drive a set of b&w minipods that I have out in my garage. It's so convenient to just hook up this little amplifier and send music from your phone or iPad via blue tooth... It sounds great. If you are wondering about this... Don't. Get it. It's that good. Does it replace my rig? No. If it was my main rig, I would be happy. It can fill a small room. It sounds nice for a digital amplifier. I may experiment with different tubes later, but the stock tubes sound fine. They don't distort or sound crunch, just add a warmth and roundness to the bass. A simple set of tone controls would be a good way to improve this thing. If I could add a touch of the top end to the ns10's, I would be able to improve the overall tone and sound. It's small, but mighty. It looks pretty cool. The controls are solid. I've found nothing wrong with this thing, the connectors are all quality. Truly. It's that good. I'm going to setup this dayton with my main proac speakers and listen to some vinyl and higher quality digital files to see how it performs next to an audiophile level system, I'm sending my mcintosh c28 in to get recapped, and I think I' When I get the results, I'll change this review. This amplifier is absolutely amazing for just over $150. Truly.

Excellent sound effects, easy to install, 6J1 tube pre-amp board kits. The 6J1 tube pre-amp can be connected to the sound source and amplifier to effectively filter digital flavor. The Eight 470UF Capacitor Filter is very clean, excellent power system lead to no hum, and the filaments are powered with DC 12V and need to be connected in series in order to reduce noise. It doesn't work if you can't use DC power input. The kit comes in parts so you can build your own tube amplifier.

Brand: Hilitand

👤I didn't use any of the generic components that came with the kit. It was bought for the board and sockets. There were cracks at a couple of pins in one of the 6J1 tubes. It lost its vacuum because of the act of sockets. I have a lot of spare and matched pairs. There is a The board is of good quality. During lead-free soldering, the pads were not de-laminated. If you're looking for a cheap project, this might be it. All the components that need quality control or precision will be replaced. Before soldering and applying power, you should test everything.

👤I like that it works once it's together.

6. Vacuum Class Headphone Amplifier Pre Amp

Vacuum Class Headphone Amplifier Pre Amp

It is suitable for a desktop audio system. TUBE-02 PRO uses 5725 tubes to amplify signal. It has a strong tube flavor and high performance. The sound is more transparent and sweet, and the output power can be up to 850mW. There are two sets of line outputs. The design is novel, and the variant amplification of internal transistor and electron tube is processed by tube output, which eliminates the need for plugging in and out when using multiple sound sources. It can be used as a pre-amplifier to improve the sound quality of audio amplifier or active speaker. The black frosted texture looks simple and elegant and is very suitable for home and desktop audio systems. The gain can be increased by 2.5% with high gain mode.

Brand: Kguss

👤I edited my original comments on February 16, 2022. Many of the Head-amp/preamp designs have the same interior layout and components, but are often packaged differently with slight modifications to the exterior. Many US companies periodically do the same thing as competition is what it is now. The tube/class is called the FX-Audio Tube-02 Pro. A head-amp/preamp design. After reading over the design parameters and noticing that it's a fairly new release, I decided to pull the trigger on one. The unit I noticed was nicely designed with all metal. It included both 3.5 MM and 6.5 MM headphone inputs, which is different to the many competing designs that only include a 3.5 MM input. The inclusion of two GE designed 6J1 style tubes was a positive. You have a volume control knob to the right of the front panel, as well as an on/off button, which serves to select your inputs. It also has a 2-gain setting button, and it's even nicer that the gain settings affect headphones only, not the Preamp section. In most headamps/preamps, adjustments to the gain also affect the line level outputs to speakers. Gain settings impacting headphones only is an added feature. This particular model head-amp/preamp design has two Aux RCA inputs, which allows the connection of two different DAC's, if need be, with the option of selecting either one via the front button. After connecting it, I looked at this unit using 3 different DAC's - the Topping D10S, the Schiit Audio Modi 3+, and the JDS Labs Atom DAC X. I don't start evaluating listening sessions until the components warm up a bit. I had the tube pro on for 24 hours. The Audioquest Pearl models were using the Blue Jeans cables and the World's Best Cables were used to connect them to the computer. This is a true tube unit, and it gives a warm, yet very dynamic and detailed sound. The sound quality is not as good as comparable tubes in the upper register. The Tube 02 Pro warms things up and adds a musicality that the DAC often lacks. Do keep in mind that other tube head-amps/preamps, such as the Douk Audio P1, have the same effect. The Tube 02 Pro accurately portrays the sonic signature of different units. If you have a bright sounding DAC, you will be able to hear the added brightness through the tube. The Tubes in the Tube 02 Pro do not run hot when compared to other tubed units that use different types of tubes. I have had the unit on for a long time and they never felt warm. The one tube in the Schiit Vali 2+ is very hot, like a heater, as an example. The Tubes are more visible in the Tube 02 Pro because they stick out more towards the top, which is why they light up more brightly. Tube rolling is easier to remove and switch out because of the design aspect of the Tube 02 Pro. If you're not interested in tube roll, you should be quite happy with the result because the stock GE tubes that came with this unit sound superb. When using these GE tubes, the audio usually balances out nicely, with a nice sound. The slight brightness that I mentioned indicates that the solid end of things has been adjusted to provide the best of both worlds. My initial listening sessions were conducted using speakers connected to the Cambridge AX25 ClassAB integrated amplifier, followed by the Aiyima A07 and A08 class D models. I got the excellent Fosi HD-A1 classAB amplifier. I settled on the Wharfedale D320's with a Mackie powered sub under the desk. I listened to everything on my computer. The Warfedale D320, the KEF Q150, and the Presonus E5XT were speakers used in this evaluation. As time goes on, things will get better and you should allow this amplifier to warm up. There are many good sounding units out there, but they don't have the same immediacy and musicality that a live performance does. Well, this tube pro does. Quality components and accessories in your audio chain are an added "no-brainer" statement. "You can't make chicken salad out of chicken sh_t if everything else in your audio chain is just so-so" is an old adage. Nothing is held back when it comes to bass. If you feed it good audio sources, the higher frequencies will have a silky-like quality. It's all there, to be sure. Let's talk about the inputs. I like that when you plug in headphones, it shuts off the audio flow to the speakers. The headphones that I used included a variety of different HiFiMan models on one end, as well as dynamic units from different companies on the other. I found the audio inputs to be a tad elevated in the upper extremes, from about 6000 kHz upwards. The extra details that you hear through the headphone inputs allow you to hear smaller instruments such as bells, castanets, tambourines, cymbals, and so much more, as they stand out from the rest of the orchestra. This was accomplished by elevating these frequencies, which made the upper extreme quite noticeable. Based on the headphones I used, the V shape of the sound coming from the headphones could be described as having a distinct V shape, with the upper extremes being elevated at 6000 kHz and above. There is a After a week of use, the FX-Audio Tube-02 Pro Head-amp/Preamp unit really impressed me. Since it allows you to use two different Aux RCA inputs, it would be fine as a head-amp or a preamplifier. Most of this class is a bit more expensive than the others because the sound qualities are not as good. I am now giving it 5 stars because of the unit's relatively inexpensive price of $79.95, the design and appearance of the unit, and its overall sound qualities. All reviews are subjective, and your mileage may vary. My results were based on what I heard. Good luck!

7. Linsoul Transistor Headphone Amplifier Pre Amplifier

Linsoul Transistor Headphone Amplifier Pre Amplifier

Matte Surface, aluminum alloy shell is more than just amazing features, it is exquisitely built as well. The design is simple and elegant, made of aluminum alloy. When you hold it, you will be able to explore the beauty of it.

Brand: Linsoul

👤The amplifier is built to last. I only replaced the original tubes with the new ones. There's plenty of power for my headphones, including the HD800s and HD650, which sound wonderful.

👤The amplifier doesn't produce that "ooey gooey fat, round tube sound" that tube amplifier fans crave. The transistors in the power output section could be to blame. I think all low-cost hybrid tube/SS amplifier have this sound characteristic. What can you expect from $169.00? It's funny. The power output of the MT 604 is likely to drive a set of Susvaras, but who in their right mind would connect a $6K set of headphones to the MT 604? I couldn't afford a pair of Susvaras and anything approaching their cost.

👤I bought this little amplifier out of curiosity and based on some good reviews on Amazon and on some of the reviewers on the video sharing website. I am a fan of tube music, but I wasn't expecting much from this amplifier. When I first heard it, I wasn't very happy with it. It was rather poor sounding. I ordered the tubes from Rivertone Audio at the same time. This is good enough to keep. It is a great sounding amplifier. The stock tubes need to be replaced, and the Rivertone tubes made it sound better than I would have thought. This is the ticket if you're looking for an inexpensive, but good sounding tube amplifier. Rivertone tubes are a must include addition. Your ears will thank you on both.

👤The sound was good for the price, I think it sounded better than my schiit magnius. The 2 volume knobs are a pain to use but if your headphones have a natural balance it can be nice. They were fine for my focals, but didn't have enough power for my Verites. They had enough volume on the Verite for casual listening, but they couldn't get it to be as loud as they wanted. I would probably keep it if it was only for my focals. I returned it because it wasn't satisfactory with my best headphones.

👤If you have high impedance headphones, this thing fills out the low end a bit more and makes the sound more enjoyable. It makes them enjoyable, and you don't have to fear the treble spike anymore. I tried it. It sounded the same as any other solid state. Most dacs now have volume controls which help offset the crazy gain this thing has. If you have high impedance headphones, it gets a big recommendation from me.

👤Attempted to contact the manufacturer. They gave me the run around and never sent a replacement tube.

👤There is a serious gain issue. Since there is no gain switch on it, it's difficult to listen to headphones. Too much power can make you uncomfortable to listen to. There is a good chance you blow your headphones or ears if you don't care very much with two individual knobs.

👤Right channel has a hissing noise that won't stop and the output jack doesn't work, it worked well for a few weeks.

8. Little Dot MKII Headphone Amplifier

Little Dot MKII Headphone Amplifier

The Little Dot has greatly increased sound quality. The Little Dot MK II has the ability to roll 6JI, WE403A/B, GE5654, M8100, CV4010, EF95, etc at its factory jumper setting.

Brand: Aimpire

👤Excellent once you modify. The first thing you have to do is replace the drivers on the Little Dot. The metallic sounding treble gets a tad tamer after some hours of burn in but still junk. I replaced the driver tubes for the Jan5654w by Riverstone audio that was received very well, for 19.95 a pair. New tubes have a big difference in sound quality. The power tubes are acceptable, but I ordered a pair on eBay, the 6N6P /ECC99 / E182CC Russian Double Triode Tube Gold Grid! A lot of things were tested. I can't review them on power and sound because they are in route. The instructional manual that is supplied with the LD is a mess. This is what needs to be done for the best sound on the 3.0 board. The power is off. Pull out all the tubes at the same time. There is a You can remove the two bottom phillip screws on the front plate. There is a The inputs/outputs rca jacks are located at the rear of the plate, but you have to remove the two bottom ones. There is a The first half of the plate will open. Look on the board and see if you can find two small black jumpers. If it is in place, they are set for the family tubes. CV131, CV138, and so on. The jumpers have to be put on the board. There is a The jumpers need to be removed from the family of the tubes. There is a If you replace the drivers with the jan5654w, make sure the jumpers aren't in place. If you keep the stock chinese junk, make sure the pins are in place. There is a If you open the board and see no jumpers in place, then they missed it at the factory, and you will see 3 more pins on the left of the board. Only one pin will be un bridged for each side. You can see two sets of pins, one set for the left channel and one set for the right channel. Only jump the two on the right. If it doesn't power up, you will know you messed up. There is a The settings for High Impedance headphones are listed here. Two sets of switches marked 1&2 slide down to the off position while your board is open. The off is not shown but the ON is. The highest gain will be on the LD. Attach an rca to 3.5mm and connect the end to the source of player power. I might change this review when I get the bigger power tubes. Even though I use high gain setting, it drives my low impedance headphones just fine. If you prefer, you can read the manual. Don't waste your money here, the LD mk2 doesn't drive my Fostex MK3 to its full potential, I'll change out the power tubes when I'm done. At a low to moderate volume listening time of 12 to 2 o'clock, the Fostex MK3 sounds good but lacks power and the bass is muddy. The He 400i is the same. The higher frequencies on the MK3's are brought out by the LD. vs Solid State It has a beautiful sound that is very smooth and sweet with the Jan5654w tubes and gorgeous bass, just enough, the mids are just right, not to forward or back, just in the middle. It is not forgiven to less than perfect recordings. I use Flac. They were with a Sony Walkman player. The studio setting on my Sony player yields a better soundstage which works great on most of my headphones without causing sound issues. It makes the instruments outside of your ears. There is a I have a flat Geekia ear pad on my Grados, and the LD mk2 sounds great with it. The bass attack is amazing. Even at high volumes, it was clear that they were undistorted. The bass, mids and high frequencies are very loud. The SHP9500 sound invitingly good. As I write this review, I am listening to them. The Grados sr60e is almost as clear as the GRadosRS2e. I haven't tested my headphones yet. The Sony MDR1a is sweet and bassy, but it is not the same as the Sony's signature model. The sound signature is great for the sound sensitive people. Not a basshead still. Why 4 stars and not 5? I believe that the LD Mk2 should already sell with good sounding tubes. The power tubes are acceptable. No hum issues of any kind have been found in my LD mk2. If you decide to use this product, you should switch out the driver tubes for one of the many that this device will accept. The settings for my listening volume are in between the hours of 9 and 12. Hope this helps. Update 09-14-2017. The sound is even better after I installed the Super Power Tubes Sovtek 6H30Pi Cryo and Matched Pair. The little dot has become myarachne for running my Fostex. Wow! The Nobsound yielded even more power when I purchased it. If you want to get rid of the distortion, you have to replace the driver tubes. I bought a matched match of jan5654w and I am very happy with it. The Nobsound can be purchased for 45.00 and the tubes for 19.95 on Amazon. The gold grid power tube is cheaper than the super tubes, but it does not put out as much power. Enjoy.

👤I wanted a record player that I could use without having to fire up my amplifier every time I wanted to listen to a record. This is what I was looking for and I know it's going to work great because everything I have purchased from FOSI audio has been top notch. There is a The unit is well packaged so there is no damage during delivery. You don't need anything else to connect your player and cables to your amplifier. I run this into a FOSI Tube-P1 and then into a TDA7498E amplifier. It is easy to power on and manage. I like my small gear. There is a The sound that comes out of this unit is great. It's as good as the sound that I produce. I have not encountered any issues with my unit, and myLPs sound great. I use 25 ft RCA cable from the phono preamplifier to my other preamplifier and it doesn't bother me that the sound is not as good. I bought the cables from Amazon and was sure I would have sound problems. Everything sounds great. There is a This should cover you if you need a phono preamplifier. This device is easy to use. You will need to run this into an amplifier.

👤The baby shines for use as a pre-amplifier. Increased soundstage and a great performer. The vocals on the Beatles Abbey Road album were warm. I was expecting a warm sound with the tubes, but it wasn't as warm as I was expecting. Forget about the headphone amplifier. It lacks bass to the point that the sound is loud. It doesn't have a lot of volume as a headphones amplifier and even though I liked the overall sound when I used it as a preamplifier for my speakers, I still had to have the volume up to enjoy it. I can use my Rolls Bellari for my headphones for now, but I will have to find a better one in a few months. I can't complain much because of the lower price.

👤The sound has lost a lot to my ears while I'm using this with a Pro-Ject turntable. The Fosi is inexpensive, but not fun to listen to. I own a lot of gear that makes music sound better than this one does. I'll probably not be using it anymore.

👤I had to crank the receiver all the way up to make my turntable sound better because it was plugged directly into my receiver. I tried out the Preamp because I had great success with another Fosi Audio device. There is a It sounds good and looks nice next to the turntable. My vinyls sound better now. This little device is wonderful.

👤The sound is good. I use it for a sound system in my basement that is cost effective and works well.

👤Not good quality. There is a hum in the music. It is a form of distraction in the music. Will be back.

👤The volume was loud and bright at one quarter volume. It produced a very loud hum when it turned the volume up past one quarter. I tried moving the preamplifier closer to my turntable but it didn't work out. Everything was connected correctly after I double-checked my ground connection and cables. I turned it off because I didn't want to damage my speakers.

Brand: Aiyima

👤I wanted to add a little "tube magic" to my audio setup. The previous setup consisted of a Lynx Hilo DAC connected to a Yamaha speakers and a subwoofer. I was looking for a cheap tube amplifier to do that. A couple of others here, as well as this brand, Aiyima. They all had the same features and cost between $50 and $75. The key features that sold me was the fact that this amplifier has both wired and wireless options. I decided to get this even though the price was slightly higher. I ordered the Riverstone Audio GE5654W Platinum Matched Pair upgrade tubes after reading reviews here. I didn't bother installing the stock tubes, so this review is based on three weeks of listening to the GE tubes. Let's talk about the sound first. It is great! I have never heard Yamaha speakers sound that good before. I have experience with tube audio. Audio Research tube pre- and power Amps are in my family room setup. If you have never ridden a tube, you will be in for a great ride. I couldn't stop smiling when I turned this amplifier on and fed it a jazz stream. The Yamaha speakers were sterile and neutral with the Hilo, but with this little tube amplifier, they are very well defined and create a very well defined sound stage in front of me. My main mode of listening is on my phone, where I can listen to music via the LDAC on my phone, and on the apps on my phone, where I can listen to music via the app on my phone. The Hilo is out of my audio chain. A $50 spend has turned into two new Amps, a new Topping D70s DAC, a pair of planar magnetic headphones, and an IEM. The Topping D70s' inputs and its DAC are what I'm going to use for my end-game setup. This is a very good DAC. It sounds clean, but not digital. The Jotunheim2 is fed by the Aiyima via the Topping. This is the best sound I can get. I listen to Jazz on my phone or my library of FLAC audio files from my PC. I have the Aiyima's tone controls set at 12 o'clock. The Aiyima volume dial was set to 1 o'clock. The sound and volume didn't change much when I went from there to max. I tried the Aiyima's two inputs, both of which worked well. Windows 10 does not require a driver for theusb. The phone was connected to the internet right away. I tried to listen to my headphones with the Aiyima's single ended jack. That's okay. I would rather listen to them through the balanced jack. As soon as you plug in the headphones, the pre-out is turned off. This is a feature that I wish the Schitt Jotunheim2 had. The amplifier runs very well. The two tubes are not hot at all. I love this amplifier.

👤I used to use the Aiyima tube. There's nothing wrong with that unit, but this one is miles ahead of it. It is a little bit bigger, but it has the same features. The range was really good. I live in a large house with a lot of space and I have a lot of things connected to it. I couldn't believe it. If you want range, you definitely need the antenna on. There is a Another eye opener was the input of the headphones. When you plug in the headphones, they switch from whatever they were playing on to the headphones. There is no lag when plugging in or taking out the headphones. I tested the bass and treble response with the knobs. I was playing the bass and the treble at the same time. I was getting a better bass increase and decrease than what was advertised, which is always a positive note. There is a The pre amplifier comes with Chinese tubes, which is a downside. You can get better sound quality by changing the tubes. That's the great thing about this preamplifier. There are many tubes that work with it. You can get the sound that you want.

11. Nobsound NS 10P Audio Pre Amplifier Control

Nobsound NS 10P Audio Pre Amplifier Control

The Preamplifier needs to work with active devices and not PHONO, which can't be used for record players. Excellent sound performance, no background noise, Warm and soft tube sound, Sound quality enhancement, and Pure tube preamplifier are all suitable for all amplifier and music types. The vacuum tubes can be replaced with various models. Mini size and exquisite appearance; blue tube light and front panel; Mellow and solid touch feeling.

Brand: Douk Audio

👤The tiny preamplifier adds a warm and rich taste to the sound. Building quality is good. The circuit board is neat. A single 555 timer IC and some rectifier diodes are used to convert input 6V to high voltage and light the tubes. The input and outputCapacitors are considered to be hifi. The classic passive Baxandall Tone Control is bass and treble control. There is a It is a one stage preamp using tubes and op-amp ICs. I think it is a pure tube amplifier. It works like a charm.

👤It's so tired of flat music. I have been listening to mp3 files for years, like many of you. Digital files show their nothingness on high end systems, even though the sound is fine on cheap headphones, on lesser systems in noisy places, and in cars. I like to listen to vinyl, was raised on vinyl, and have burned vinyl to DVD with great success. Many CDs are very good, especially if they were taken from masters that were recorded before the 80's. You will hear artistry in the recording process, if you put on Emmylou Harris or Merle Haggard from the 60's through the 70's. There is a That is not the only matter. As I continue to expand my digital library, and look for ever more convenient methods of playing it, I finally bought a Tab E lite last fall, with a Gig 64 card in it, and loaded it with music. It's a good idea to carry it to the barn, plug it into the system there, or into the aux port of different vehicles. I needed to make the sound better on a great system so I used MediaMonkey to make it. I am very pleased with the results of the research that led me to this device. It doesn't amplify the volume significantly, which is a letdown at first, but perhaps a good feature overall as it doesn't overdrive when input into another pre-amp, in my case, a CarverCT 17. If you want a lot of amplification, use an amplifier, this is a pre-amp that works as a pre-amp. There is a This works well as a sound shaper. Music that was flat and lifeless is now full and vibrant. The bass is loud and clear. The highs are clear and bright. There is a feeling. I am very happy. I backed the volume up two clicks after cranking it up all the way up. I never heard a difference in volume on my system. Significant changes are made throughout their ranges by the bass and treble controls. The bass clicks from full when I keep the treble all the way up. I put in some 5654W JAN tubes from the very beginning, so I am not going to comment on the tubes shipped with this device. As the tubes settle in, the sound has become warmer. There is a I am very pleased with the sound. I like the feel of the device. I will update this if there is a problem soon. I used this for about 8 hours straight the first day, listening to both mp3 files and streaming radio, all through the device. The sound is great again. I can recommend this item if you understand what it does and how it is to be used. It is in line with my expectations.
